As a business-minded person, my first thought was to wonder if magnets pay more than books, but she assured me they don’t, though, since no advance is involved, she did start receiving royalties right away. She also wrote an article in the July/August Poets & Writers (print version only) about how many small paychecks can add up to a million dollars over a lifetime of writing.
