Check out these powerful images of Egyptian women in the streets, protesting and calling for President Hosni Mubarak to step down. Images of protests tend to be focused on men, so seeing women being just as engaged in active political change as their male counterparts is both refreshing and exciting.
Bonus: a Le Monde slideshow of the women of Tunisia. That country’s success in ousting President Ben Ali inspired the people of Egypt as well as the people of Algeria, Yemen and Jordan to protest their autocratic governments as well.

Just in time for Tuesday’s mid-term elections, the good folks at GOOD magazine have made an awesome infographic depicting what politicians would look like if they campaigned in suits displaying their sponsors, just like your favorite NASCAR race drivers.
I love infographics, maps, and data illustration as much as I love photography; both mediums tell a full story in a format that’s engaging and easy to understand. You can check out more Political NASCAR here (is it just me or did they make Hillary Clinton look as frumpy as possible?) and here.
Happy Monday! (And make sure you know where your local polling station is.)
