Beau the Soccer Cat (nee Von Jollie-asana)

<——This is Beau the Soccer Cat.

You might recognize him from such classics as Reason No. 817 Why I Need Crazy Pills, Notebook from the Land of Pleasant Living, and most recently, the Preseason Magic 8-Ball.

As you can see, he’s a stunningly handsome man. Breathtaking, really. And if someone of that caliber asks you to do something, you’d do it right?

Beau the Soccer Cat, K&G’s official mascot, wants you to vote for Just for Kicks & Giggles in the Baltimore Sun’s Mobbies. You can vote here every day. Maybe even more than once a day if you happen to have more than one e-mail address that you don’t mind sharing with the Sun.

And while you’re at it, you may as well click on this blog a few extra times for good measure. I told you once that every click is a donation to the Beau the Soccer Cat Likes Friskies Grillers Fund, but after taking him to the fancy vet, the fund name had to change. Now every click is a donation to the Beau’s Fancy Food is More Expensive Than His Mommy’s Food Fund. So help a cat mom out.

Just For Kicks & Giggles is a Baltimore-centric sports blog. It aims to be your one-stop shop for all things soccer. Charm City has a lot of soccer fans out there, so make your voices heard! Tell us what you agree and disagree with, which games you’re looking forward to this year, who’s hotter, Ronaldo or Beckham…all the important things!

Staci Wolfson is a homegrown writer and editor based in Baltimore. After studying journalism at New York University, she went on to become a sportswriter. She's been an Orioles and Ravens fan since the earliest of ages. Soccer, however, wasn’t always her thing. In fact, her introduction to the sport included starting sixth grade with a black eye after a ball struck her face at her first rec team practice. But when she was assigned to cover the Baltimore Blast in 2007, she quickly became addicted to indoor soccer, piquing her interest in the beautiful game.
