Well the win streak is snapped, but the 10-4 Baltimore Blast maintain a firm hold on first place in the MISL Eastern Division after losing on the road to the Norfolk SharX, 17-12.

On the bright side, it was a good night for Blast rookies, one of whom made his debut tonight. Rookie J.T. Noone, who ranks seventh on the team in points, led the way scoring twice, first off an assist from Adauto Neto, and later on his own. Noone’s first goal was the first Baltimore goal of the game, and shortly after Shaun David scored on a pass from Nicki Paterson, making his Blast debut.

Paterson scored in the second half, followed by fellow rookie Stephen DeRoux, and then again by Noone. Adriano Dos Santos contributed a goal, but it wasn’t enough for the Blast to overcome the SharX.

Nice to see some new faces. Just saying. *cough*::I’m looking at you, DK.::*cough*

In other news, Neto was named MISL player of the week last week for his astounding attack on the Syracuse Silver Knights and the Rochester Lancers last weekend. Duh.

  1. Last night the rookies did great , what we lacked once again was solid defense as a team & defense wins games , we had a inexperenced rookie in the nets for us who is only playing in his 2nd game ever and no defenders were around to back him up the entire night

Our veterans seem to hit the goal post more times last night them I have ever seen in a single game All Night the Blast Relied on Neto when the Sharks Double Teamed him all night long when the Target man should of been changed to Millwood in the 2nd half

Max is one of my favorite players and he Headed the ball in to his own goal and had Akira diving for it before going in really max its not like you to screw up in your own end like that so I will forgive you . Danny Kelly once again waited way to long to go to the 6 th attacker as he always does Danny Kelly should take the blame for that game he should of settled out defense at half time

Nicki Paterson did well his first game out had 3 point on the night a A block shot even if he used his face to do it I just cant understand why it took the blast so long to give this kid a shot I am just glad I was not in the locker room last night getting chewed out
We can beat the Best team in the MISL & can win a game aginst the worst team in the league But you really need to give credit to the Sharks they never gave up the entire night and they deserved that win at home

  2. [...] thought it was a great response,” said head coach Danny Kelly. “Coming off a loss last week where we didn’t play very well, I thought it was a great response. To only give up one goal [...]
