Dixon is Corrupt. How are O’Malley and Rawlings-Blake any different? We need a revolution

Posted on Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 at 4:20 pm

Sheila Dixon did a bad thing and we spent a lot of money to prove she did that bad thing. She did a much worse thing during the Utech scandal. Do you think O’Malley was able to maintain his power and win elections because he was pure? Do you think Rawlings-Blake is going to be much different than Dixon? Are you naive enough to believe that Mary Pat Clarke and Rikki Spector have never been bought off by developers in the over 30 years they have served on City Council?

The entire establishment is clearly corrupt. Look out your window and take a look at this city and compare it to how it looked 45 years ago. There is lawlessness everywhere and so-called developers and useless city contract winners are getting overpaid with tax payer money. The establishment needs to be exposed and voted out. Dixon is just the tip of the iceberg. The entire system that runs Baltimore relies on the ignorance of the population and the stealing of tax payer money.  What happened today was a complete embarrassment to Baltimore. It should never have come to this. Dixon should never have been elected in the first place. Apathy, laziness, and ignorance brought this upon us.  We created Sheila Dixon. Baltimore, register to vote and take a moment to learn about for whom you are voting. By the way it is not just the poor who blindly vote for who buys them off, in Bolton Hill there were plenty of Dixon signs on very large houses during the 2007 campaign. Of course there were plenty of signs like this one also.

I actually made the following video late last night before the verdict came out. It is my artistic expression of my frustration with the system. It also shows some glimpses into the growing counterculture of younger people WHO NEED TO BECOME POLITICALLY ACTIVE ON THE LOCAL LEVEL AND DISPOSE OF THOSE WHO HAVE LEAD US TO WHERE WE ARE TODAY!

This woman violated the public trust, not to mention stealing, and not the usual stealing that corrupt politicians engage in but stealing from the needy. Why is she “rewarded” for such bad behavior? Those complicent (the justice system and Governor O’Malley) with this abuse of power need to be held accountable as well.Vote them all out of power. This is ridiculous! I’m at a loss of words. This woman has no honor and will not resign. To think that she has the gall to hold her head up high as she collects !a pension. AARRRGHHH! No morals.

Mayor Shelia Dixon failed to testify in her own defense at her trial last week. To me this speaks volumes to the lack of character this woman has.

Shelia Dixon stole from those who can afford it least – the poor of Baltimore. Felony theft in MD is any theft in excess of $300. If the average Joe got caught using stolen cards he’d be in jail. Shelia Dixon will do no time because she was convicted of the bs charge of “fraudulent misappropriation”. No mater how petty her theft was she violated the public trust and this should be punished.

The politicians feel that they are an elite group not subject to the same laws as working stiffs. They are wrong. In real life my employer can censor / discipline me for even the “Appearance of Impropriety”. We should hold our elected officials to even higher standards. Mayor Dixon’s refusal to step down, as required by Maryland Law is another slap in the face of the community that she professes to love.

Mayor Dixon and her gang of lawyers expected that jury nullification would work in this case and all would be forgiven.

    Unbelievable !!!

But this fair and just verdict shows that there are still good people in Baltimore.

Then this petty thief then again expected to pick the pocket of Maryland taxpayers and have the city cover her expensive legal fees.

I doubt her esteemed legal council will be by her side at her March 2010 trail for perjury after she missed just one payment of her legal bill.

I can only hope that misdemeanor appeals cost more than the actual trial.

I suspect that Sheila Dixon will plea bargain the perjury charges into another misdemeanor and will again get probation.

Mayor Dixon do the only honorable thing left to you – resign immediately.

You need to step up an apologize to every citizen of Baltimore. Instead to date -nothing.

George Nilson, Baltimore City Solicitor man up and do your job.

Baltimore City Council President Stephanie C. Rawlings-Blake its time to take charge and lead. But remember someone in watching.

Finally, Lets all send a big thank you of to Governor’s Mansion in Annapolis. Thank You Governor Martin O’Mally, former Mayor of Baltimore, who appointed Ms. Dixon to fill out the remaining year of his term as Mayor of Baltimore.

Folks please don’t forget the arrogance of our politicians.

Lets get out the vote in 2010 and vote the bums out of office.

    A lifetime Maryland resident.

You are right on board, if you are the one I hope you have the leadeship skills to change this town, everyone is entrenched in this mess, it will be difficult but it can be done.I returned to Baltimore 2years ago from Virginia, unfortunately the economy has me stuck here so I went back to college to finish my degree, my son is in college @ Hood in Frederick so maybe another year here it has so many great things here and the housing market presents a great opportunity but the current quality of life sucks. It can be depressing. I am hoping and praying that it will come back. Thank you for your positve outlook. I will keep you in my thoughts for your success.

If I didn’t know any better, it would seem that someone is getting ready to run again.
