“The City of Baltimore has made solid progress under Mayor Dixon. This is a tough day for all of us who care about Baltimore’s progress, and for Mayor Dixon and her family. Is any elected official going to speak against Sheila Dixon? I assume not many think it is worth it.

2011…
Hi my friend! I wish to say that this article is awesome, nice written and include almost all vital infos. I’d like to see more posts like this….
Opportunist, Judas, wannabe mayor next, kweisi mfume, recently spoke against the mayorto further his own selfish interests. It was through her intimate relationship with Mfume that Sheila first maneuvered her way into politicks by forcing him to put her into his city council seat when he left it to go to the U.S. Congress.(I digress, one would be hard pressed to locate the few good men and women that Sheila and Kweisi have not slept with).
Stephanie Fake-Blake has subtly opposed the mayor but she is being super cautious. Her mouthpiece, O’Malley shill, Ryan O’Dougherty AKA md4bush, is making sure the long-term, do-nothing, puppet, council prez does not appear too anxious.( Right now, they’re still focusing on slimming her down, grooming her, including departing with that ridiculous-looking,miss piggy styled hair weave…and forcng her to keep up appearances that she and her estranged husband, Kent, have a real marriage, instead of the in name only sham they purportedly have). Some say, its a only a matter of time until Steph reverts back to the girls.
Kurt Schmoke has been critical of Dixon’s failure to apologize to the city.
Delegate Jill Carter was the only person I heard predict the mayor’s conviction on The Doni Glover Show, and she didn’t appear to be a defender. She said praise of the job Dixon is doing as mayor has been greatly exaggerated. None of the others have the courage to speak against the mayor(or rather, speak the truth about the mediocre mayor-a reverse robinhood who stol from the poor to give to the rich)–that is, until O’Malley gives the order that full-court press is on to put Fake-Blake in the chair. You’ll be surprised how quickly they’ll all turn against her once he orders the code red. Sheila will be all alone soon. Even her legal team, which was put in place by O’Malley, will not really remain with her.
Pat Turner might be even more relevant.
After the conviction, Sheila Kast on Maryland Morning (WYPR) interviewed the interim mayor of Providence RI who replaced the previous mayor to a corruption conviction. He said one of the things done to restore confidence was show there was a clean break from the previous admin insofar as personnell and policies, and the like.
Kast retorted, “but Sheila Dixon has been a popular Mayor”, implying that changes might not be in the best interest if most people liked her.
His paraphrased response: “Do they really like her? Or is everyone just afraid of her? Are they afraid that they are going to get run out of town?”
Same here.
