@Tim Thanks for the comment. Yes, I'm aware of the website listing Peabody events and also the comprehensive Balto-DC events listing that appears quarterly(?) in the Peabody magazine, which Mobtown Modern is always included on. And I admit that the page I cited in my Ignite talk was a very convenient way for me to launch into the central aspect of what I was trying to convey. But, why not have a bigger and more visible forum for non-Peabody Baltimore happenings?

Tim, I think the point is that there is a great deal going on musically in the Baltimore, by Peabody grads and otherwise, that is not AT Peabody itself. That is what doesn't seem to be considered as important as the musical achievements in NY and DC.

Brian,

I'm sorry your experiment in URL speculation didn't turn out as you'd hoped, but a quick jump to the main events listing at http://www.peabody.jhu.edu/events shows literally scores of events happening at Peabody in Baltimore in the coming months.

The point of the ad was that Peabody has a strong presence outside of Baltimore, where you'd expect to find many Peabody musical performances.
