Hello Baltimore Sun CCC Blogosphere!

Posted on Monday, August 30th, 2010 at 9:07 am

This is Elizabeth. Your trusted foodie who recently transplanted herself to Frederick. Okay I’ll stop talking in third person now…

I was born and raised here in MD and although I can’t call myself a Baltimoron anymore, Baltimore is where its at. Well maybe Frederick is where its at… hmmm

I joined Charm City Current to get more people aware of the latest restaurant and food happenings in Baltimore and Frederick, the ones I involve myself with at least. And you’ll get to read my ramblings about whatever I decide to cook up in my kitchen too. I love to bake and I like to cook relatively healthy meals during the week, but really the reason for me getting into the kitchen is to make some deliciousness for other people!

I had ACL surgery last year and so I’m slowly getting back into running and hopefully with that and beefing up my veggie and fruits in my diet I might actually lose weight this fall!

So stay tuned for some restaurants, some cooking, and some crazy rants from me, Elizabeth, your trusted environmental chemist.

Elizabeth Griffiths writes the blog, Strawberries in Paris. She grew up in Jarrettsville, MD and has recently relocated to Frederick, MD. She was raised on her grandmother's Mexican food and spent many summer nights cheering for the Baltimore Orioles. Her mother was in charge of the church strawberry festival every year for the first 10 years of her life and Elizabeth happily helped her cut up quarts upon quarts of them, which later turned into an shopping and eating obssession! Moreover, two visits to Paris in 2006 and 2007 solidified her love for French style, food and pastries. She went to college to become a perfume chemist, but switched it up and now uses her chemistry knowledge during the day to do environmental chemistry and at night to bake and make dinner with local and fresh ingredients.
